We had a great week in Costa Rica and were able to use Blue Crab Adventures to book all our excursions! Our tour guide, Paul, was very knowledgeable and spoke English and Spanish, which was very helpful. Paul coordinated everything! He knows how and where to have a good time. This is really the way to do it. We got transportation to and from the airport from Paul. It was very convenient and flexible. We set this up ahead of time. We also did a sunset cruise, which had great drinks, GOURMET FOOD, and snorkeling! Even a guitarist on the boat. After 5 hours we did not want to get off the boat! We went zip lining with Blue Crab in Tamarindo and the staff made it very safe and enjoyable. The monkeys were zip lining right with us! We went horseback riding on the beach! These were not your overworked trail riding horses. They were happy and healthy. Great if you are an experienced or novice rider. They let you ride at your own pace. Really awesome time. After all our adventures, they provide fresh fruit and water. Every adventure you are picked up right at the hotel, Jardin Del Eden Boutique Hotel was where we stayed.
We highly recommend this company. Great for family, couples, and even older adults! So many great excursions without the stress.

Ronald was right outside our hotel on the beach and he explained everything. We arranged for a horseback tour and half a snorkel trip for $50 a person (probably cheaper than normal because the town was dead). He said it would be two hour ride and a 30 minute snorkel.
Not sure if it was there sister company or he outsourced our trip but it was just fine. The horseback ride on the beach was only for about 15 minutes and the rest down a dirt road. We stopped at a beach that had beer and snacks for purchase. After the beach the ride is only 10 minutes but we were ready to head back.

Blue Crab can pretty much book anything for you AND the owner, Paul, is incredibly helpful – not just about the tours but other things to do in town, tips, advice, etc. I didn’t feel like he was just trying to sell me the most expensive trips; I felt like he really listened to what I was interested in doing and recommended the best things – ex. there are several horseback riding tours available and even though one was more expensive, I told him I wanted to go on the beach so he recommended and booked a different (cheaper) one for me. I will definitely use Blue Crab again when I go back.

I can’t say enough good things about Blue Crab! Absolutely perfect way to compliment our vacation. My girlfriends and I had so much fun zip lining through the jungle, riding horses on the beach at sunset and the volcanic hot springs were absolutely unforgettable! Paul and Ronald were amazing! So nice and informative and they truly cared about our experience in Tamarindo. What a beautiful time, can’t wait to go back with more friends and book through Blue Crab! Pura Vida!
