This volcano is still a spectacular sight. The volcano has been studied by seismologists from around the world for many years. The National Park harbors a remarkable amount of plant and animal life along with dozens of scenic walking trails. Hikers and nature watchers often see howler monkeys, white-nosed coatis, deer, snakes, parrots and other birds, black vultures, along with many other animals. National Park opens 8am-4pm daily.
– Local lunch included.

We had a chance for a beach vacation and picked Costa Rica. I just wanted to see a volcano up close. We stayed in Tamarindo beach community.
We contacted Blue Crab through email and followed up with a phone call. Paul wanted to be sure we were able to see what we wanted. He offered other options but no up sell or pressure to do other things. We did ATV’s, horseback riding, zip lining through the tree tops and some cool canyons over the river, This was the same river we were tubing in earlier in the day. We even took surfing lessons, (it is way harder than it looks). Thanks Ron.
Had a great time over the three days and no pressure just them making sure we were enjoying ourselves.

Can’t wait to do it again.

Stayed at The Diria in Tamarindo for a week. The first day we headed to the beach and were greeted by Ronald. He has a table with books to look through and presents a very knowledgeable and professional vibe! Ronald is the hustle and his business partner, Paul is the IT guy. Ronald sold us on the all day adventure and he and Paul picked us up at 7 am the next morning at the Diria. We spent and ENTIRE day exploring the Guanacaste province, listening to Ronald’s stories of growing up there, his amazing knowledge of American music (especially the 80’s). They have never met strangers so we were in great hands. I strongly recommend the all day tour to the volcano hot-springs, the waterfall, lunch, horseback riding, tubing, mud bath, creeky bridges that cross canyons! Ronald is a remarkable guide who left us needing not a thing! After the day was over they suggested that try pick us up later and take us to a Festival in a neighboring town. We headed back out exhausted but truly had the most amazing experience! Their summer starts with Festivals and we were able to go with locals! They explained the bulls, what the announcer said, helped us order food and answered every question I had. We will not be able to pay them for all that we experienced that day. We are forever grateful for their time spent with us and can not wait to return to Costa Rica to see them! Worth every single colones we spent!!!

Worth it. Just pay the man.
We had a group of 6-8 people including children and it was the BEST time. If you want to see parts of Costa Rica that aren’t packed with tourists, call this man. Ronald and his brother took us around for two days (could have been more but we were on a schedule with the wedding) and while Tamarindo was beautiful the places they took us to were borderline unreal. Totally worth the trip/time and his prices are more than reasonable for the attention that they give you.

This was my second time in Costa Rica and all I can say is incredible. I had just broken up with me fiancé and needed a last minute getaway. Costa Rica is a country where you can find tranquility all around you. It’s nice to have a service where people truly love what they do. Rather than adventuring off it was a hands on experience from the horseback riding to visiting the volcanos. Paul and Ronald were such great ambassadors to a wonderful place. I cannot wait to return in April for another week! Next trip I will certainly be bringing a better camera! Pura vida!
